Announcing the Fourth Annual Virginia March for Life

It’s time to mark your calendars for the fourth annual Virginia March for Life!

We are excited to announce that we are once again partnering with the Family Foundation of Virginia to organize the fourth annual Virginia March for Life on Wednesday, April 27th 2022, in Richmond, VA. We hope you will join us at the state capitol as we rally together to build a culture of life in Virginia, particularly at this pivotal time in history as Roe v. Wade hangs in the balance.

With a new, pro-life administration in power, your voice is all the more critical in encouraging our elected officials to be courageous in enacting life-protective policies for babies and mothers. They are beginning such work! In January,  newly elected Virginia Attorney General Jason Miyares reversed the Commonwealth’s position on Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization, a crucial abortion case soon to be decided by the Supreme Court. Under former Governor Northam, Virginia shockingly opposed Mississippi’s Gestational Age Act limiting abortions after 15-weeks; however,  Attorney General Miyares has reversed course arguing that each state should have the right to enact life-affirming laws.

“Pro-life Virginians sent a clear message in November that the days of the abortion industry dominating Richmond are over,” said Victoria Cobb, President of the Family Foundation in Virginia. “But the fight is never over. Our elected officials need to be reminded every day that unborn children in Virginia deserve protection until the day that abortion is not just illegal, its unthinkable.”

One month. Two coasts. Three State Marches.

Across the span of one month and two coasts, we hosted three incredible State Marches for Life in California, Virginia, and Pennsylvania—and our State March program is just getting started!

Working with local pro-life organizations, meeting hundreds of pro-life marchers from each community, and affecting pro-life policy at the state-level has been both an invigorating and humbling experience for our whole team. Here’s to many more State Marches in 2022!

In the meantime, I wanted to give you a brief snapshot of the California, Virginia, and Pennsylvania Marches for Life.

California March for Life

On August 25th, we gathered in Sacramento for the first-ever California March for Life. We encouraged hundreds of marchers to contact their local lawmakers about a radical, pro-abortion bill that would have forced health insurance providers to pay for abortions in their entirety, and the bill was halted THE VERY NEXT DAY!

Virginia March for Life

On September 17th, we hosted the third-annual Virginia March for Life in Richmond, VA. For our longest-running State March, we were joined by hundreds of pro-life Virginians to stand up against pro-abortion extremism and promote voter registration ahead of an important election season.

Pennsylvania March for Life

On September 27th, we saw our largest State March crowd this year at the first-ever Pennsylvania March for Life. PA State Representative Kathy Rapp, who has been in office for well over a decade, remarked on stage that it was “the largest rally [she] has ever seen in Harrisburg.” Even Pennsylvania’s pro-choice governor saw the crowd and responded against their pro-life witness!

Beautiful weather paired with the courageous presence of pro-life lawmakers on stage and powerful testimonies from abortion-healed speakers like Toni McFadden and Abby Johnson made the day as impactful as it was.

There is one reason why these State Marches are so beautiful and so fruitful: you. We are honored to march beside you and give joyful witness to the beauty of life. Thank you for marching with us. Each step brings us closer to each other and to the day when the heartbreak of abortion will be unthinkable.
