March for Life, Partnered with the California Family Council, Announces 2022 California March for Life

SACRAMENTO, CA – Today the March for Life, partnered with the California Family Council, announced the second annual California March for Life, which will take place on June 22, 2022. Marchers will rally at the Capitol Building to call for an end to pro-abortion extremism in the state and will be addressed by speakers including: Lila Rose, President and Founder of Live Action; Rebekah Hagan, Abortion Pill Reversal Mother and Pro-Life Advocate; David Daleiden, President of Center for Medical Progress; David Bereit, Founder of 40 Days for Life; Louisiana State Senator Katrina Jackson (D-Dis. 34); Rob McCoy, Senior Pastor of Godspeak Calvary Chapel; Dr. Haywood Robinson, Former Abortionist and Director of Medical Affairs and Education at 40 Days for Life; Jonathan Keller, President of the California Family Council; and Erin Getz, Director of the March for Life’s State March Program.

“The March for Life, along with the California Family Council, is delighted to welcome pro-life Californians and our outstanding speakers to the second annual California March for Life as we oppose efforts to make California an abortion destination,” said Jeanne Mancini, President of March for Life Defense and Education Fund. “The stakes have never been higher as we await a decision from the Supreme Court in the landmark Dobbs abortion case, which could return abortion legislation back to the people through their elected representatives. The California state legislature will surely witness the devotion and love for women and children, born and unborn, that motivate their pro-life constituents, and we hope their efforts reflect that in a potential post-Roe America.”

“California Family Council is excited to partner with local, state, and national allies to bring the March for Life back to Sacramento this year,” said Jonathan Keller, President of the California Family Council. “With a Supreme Court decision that could overturn Roe v. Wade just around the corner, peaceful pro-life advocates must redouble our efforts to protect unborn children and their mothers. We urge every Californian to join us in person and in prayer on the steps of the Capitol Wednesday, June 22!”

The California March for Life will start with a rally at the State Capitol at 11:00 a.m. PT, followed by a march at 12:00 p.m. PT.

March for Life Statement on the Confirmation of Ketanji Brown Jackson to the United States Supreme Court

The March for Life is disappointed by the Senate’s vote today to confirm Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson to our nation’s highest court. Judge Jackson’s record of judicial activism fails to align with the role of a Supreme Court Justice, which is to interpret the constitution without prejudice and to apply the law in an unbiased manner. Pro-life Americans understand the dangers of judicial activism, and the threats it poses to women and their children, all too well. Despite today’s confirmation, the pro-life movement remains steadfast in working for equal protection for every American – born and unborn.
