March for Life, Partnered with Georgia Life Alliance, Announces Speakers for the 2024 Georgia March for Life

Pro-life Advocates and Legislators to Address Marchers in Atlanta on February 22, 2024

ATLANTA, GA – Today the March for Life Education and Defense Fund, partnered with Georgia Life Alliance, announced speakers for the 2024 Georgia March for Life, occurring on Thursday, February 22 in Atlanta’s Liberty Plaza. Marchers will peacefully advocate for pro-life protections in state laws and will be addressed by notable speakers, including: Georgia Attorney General Christopher M. Carr; State Senator Ed Setzler, District 37; State Representative Lauren Daniel, District 117; U.S. Representative Rich McCormick, GA-6; Georgia Commissioner of Labor Bruce Thompson; Dr. Alveda King, Founder of Alveda King Ministries and Niece of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.; Rhonda Killingsworth, From Lamb to Lion Ministry; Claire Bartlett, Executive Director of Georgia Life Alliance; Erin P. Getz, Director of State March Programs for the March for Life Education and Defense Fund; Auxiliary Bishop E. Bernard Shlesinger III, Archdiocese of Atlanta; and Pastor Chuck Ramsey of Restoration Church.

“This year at the Georgia March for Life, we will send a clear message: the pro-life movement is here to walk With Every Woman, For Every Child. No longer does a mother facing an unplanned pregnancy have to go through her journey alone or feel like she is incapable of raising a child. We will march in Atlanta to give a voice to the unborn and to shine a spotlight on the vital resources available for women facing unplanned pregnancies offered by pregnancy resource centers and maternity homes. Now more than ever do we have the opportunity to truly build a culture of life in Georgia. We are honored to partner with the Georgia Life Alliance to host the Georgia March for Life invite you to join us at the Georgia state capital!” said Jeanne Mancini, President of March for Life

“In a post-Roe world, with the L.I.F.E. Act in full effect, Georgians still face serious harm and devastation from the multi-billion-dollar abortion industry. That’s why Georgia Life Alliance is proud to partner with March for Life for the Georgia March for Life.  Our collective goal is to restore humanity to the most vulnerable Georgian by protecting unborn children and their mothers so they will make life-affirming decisions they will not deeply regret later.  This is an especially important message for Millenials and GenZers who are bombarded daily with ads and messaging by pro-abortion celebrities and influencers who are pushing dangerous abortion drugs in our state.  We are excited to welcome pro-lifers from across Georgia, from Brunswick to Buford, who are eager to demonstrate their commitment to build a rock-solid Culture of Life that won’t waver.” said Claire Bartlett, executive director of Georgia Life Alliance.

March for Life, Partnered with the Center for Christian Virtue, Announces Speakers for the 2023 Ohio March for Life

Legislators and Pro-Life Advocates to Address Marchers in Columbus, Ohio on October 6th, Educate on Radical Abortion Amendment and Need for Pro-life Protections

COLUMBUS, OH – Today the March for Life, partnered with the Center for Christian Virtue, announced speakers for the second official Ohio March for Life which will take place on Friday October 6th. Marchers will gather at the State Capitol building to peacefully advocate for pro-life protections for women and the unborn just as an extreme abortion amendment comes up for a vote this fall. Speakers and advocates will educate attendees on the dangers of the proposed amendment which would bring painful late term abortions right up until birth to Ohio, cancel parental consent protections for minors, and erase basic health and safety standards for women when it comes to abortion.

“This year’s Ohio March for Life is the most significant the state has seen yet. Just one month after this March, Ohioans will be voting on an abortion-lobby led constitutional amendment which, if approved, would open the door to abortion up until the moment of birth in Ohio. Together with the Center for Christian Virtue, we are ready to welcome thousands of Ohioans to the State Capitol in this critical moment to peacefully advocate both against this extreme measure and for state laws that respect the human dignity of every person, born and unborn.” said Jeanne Mancini, President of March for Life Education and Defense Fund.

“Ohio’s second annual March for Life comes at a crucial time in the state. On November 7, roughly one month after the March, citizens will vote on an extreme ballot proposal that would lock abortion up to birth without parental consent into the Ohio Constitution. The Ohio March for Life is an opportunity to gather at the Ohio Statehouse and unite our voices in support of the dignity and personhood of the unborn. CCV is excited to be a partner in the March for Life again this year to show that Ohio is a pro-life state!” said Aaron Baer, President of Center for Christian Virtue

The Ohio March for Life will start with a pre-rally concert at 10:00 a.m. at the State Capitol building in Columbus, Ohio followed by a rally at 11:00 a.m. EST and the March at 12:00 p.m. EST.

SPEAKERS INCLUDE:

  • Jeanne Mancini, President, March for Life
  • Aaron Baer, President, Center for Christian Virtue
  • Most Reverend Bishop Earl Fernandes, Diocese of Columbus
  • Senator Kristina Roegner, Ohio District 27
  • Pastor Jeremy Westbrook, Executive Director-Treasurer, The State Convention of Baptists in Ohio
  • Peter Range, Chief Executive Officer, Ohio Right to Life
  • Pastor Walter Moss, Ohio Right to Life Action
  • Ruth Edmonds, Director of Christian Engagement, Center for Christian Virtue

*Additonal speakers to be announced soon
