March for Life

Go See the Gosnell Movie!

What are you doing this weekend?

I encourage you to go see the new movie ‘Gosnell: The Trial of America’s Biggest Serial Killer’ which opens TODAY in over 650 theaters nationwide.

>>>> Click here for tickets to see Gosnell: The Trial of America’s Biggest Serial Killer.

Last night, some of our March for Life staff went to see the movie, which tells the horrifically true story about one of the most important criminal trials in history that few people know about.

The man on trial is the most prolific serial killer in the United States. But his crimes were virtually ignored by most media.

Why?

Because the murderer, Kermit Gosnell, was an abortionist.

Kermit Gosnell committed abortions for 30 years before being charged with:

  • 3 life sentences for the murder of 3 babies;
  • 21 felony charges of performing abortions past the Pennsylvania state 24 week limit;
  • 211 counts of misdemeanor for violating the 24-hour informed consent law.

I am so grateful that the story of Kermit Gosnell is finally being told. ‘Gosnell’ shines light on the ugliness of the abortion industry. The PG-13 rated film is based on the original police reports and trial records; it is honest, moving, and thought provoking.

If you have a friend or family member who is pro-choice or is not sure how they feel about abortion, invite them to see this film with you. ‘Gosnell’ has the power to change hearts and minds.

Why Do We March?

It was an honor to attend the swearing-in ceremony at the White House on Monday evening for our newest Supreme Court Justice, Brett Kavanaugh.

As you know, the Supreme Court plays a critical role in pro-life policy and has for decades. The horrific Roe v. Wade and Doe v. Bolton cases in 1973 are the very reason the March for Life first began on January 22, 1974.

For 45 years, we have been marching with the mission to end abortion by uniting, educating, and mobilizing pro-life people in the public square.

>>>> Will you join us at the 2019 March for Life?

With the contentious Supreme Court confirmation behind us and the midterm elections ahead, it’s easy to get caught up in the heightened political climate.

Let me be clear – it’s incredibly important that pro-life Americans advocate for pro-life public policy and participate in elections!

>>>> Make sure you are registered to vote!

However, it’s so important to remember that the cause of life is bigger than the Supreme Court and elections.

That’s why our vision at the March for Life is a world where the beauty and dignity of every human life are valued and protected.

Ending abortion in America will take the effort of every single pro-life person. We can’t put our hope in just one politician, judge, or piece of legislation. Each of us must commit to making a difference for the pro-life cause.

And it all starts at the March for Life.

The March for Life has grown to the largest human rights demonstration in the world – and we need YOU there on January 18, 2019 to be a voice for life.

>>>> Join us at the 2019 March for Life!

Together we march to end abortion, and we will.

Kavanaugh Hearings Analysis

Judge Kavanaugh will make a great justice on the U.S. Supreme Court, just like President Trump’s first appointment, Neil Gorsuch.

>>>> Contact your Senators today to urge them to vote to confirm Judge Kavanaugh!

A graduate of Yale College and Law School, Judge Kavanaugh currently serves on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit. He was confirmed by a bipartisan majority for that position in 2006. Thirteen of his written opinions on cases have been endorsed by Supreme Court decisions.

In addition to his professional qualifications, Kavanaugh has spent most of his career serving the public; he volunteers to serve meals to the homeless, tutors at an elementary school, and coaches his daughter’s basketball team. He also serves as a regular lector at his parish.

The Judiciary hearings that concluded last week demonstrated that Judge Kavanaugh is exceptionally qualified for the role of Supreme Court justice and will no doubt serve as a fair, independent judge who will remain faithful to the Constitution.

During the hearings, Kavanaugh stated, “My only loyalty is to the Constitution. I have made that clear, I am an independent judge.”

This makes pro-abortion politicians and the abortion industry very worried.

The hearings were interrupted by yelling pro-abortion protesters over 100 times and 70 people were arrested on the first day. Plus, Planned Parenthood released a six figure ad campaign against Kavanaugh on the first day of hearings.

So, what will Kavanaugh’s confirmation to the Supreme Court actually mean for the pro-life movement?

>>>> Watch our Facebook Live discussion with March for Life Action President Tom McClusky and Elizabeth Slattery, a legal fellow with the Heritage Foundation.

This will be an intense confirmation battle, and every pro-life American must have their voice heard!

Please take a moment to contact your Senators today to support the confirmation of Judge Brett Kavanaugh.

What a Week!

Protestors.

False statistics.

Twelve hour days of questioning.

It’s been quite a week for Judge Brett Kavanaugh during his confirmation hearings for the U.S. Supreme Court! You can read our March for Life updates HERE.

>>>> Please take a moment TODAY to urge your Senators to support the confirmation of Judge Kavanaugh!

The final day of hearings concludes Friday.

One thing has been clear this week – Judge Kavanaugh will make an excellent addition to the U.S. Supreme Court, like President Trump’s first appointment, Neil Gorsuch.

>>> Please take a moment to contact your Senators today to support the confirmation of Judge Brett Kavanaugh.

Thank you for making your voice heard on this important Supreme Court battle!

Consider Early Feminist’s Opposition to Abortion

This Women’s Equality Day, we would be wise to consider the words of the early feminists as we examine the progress we have made as women — and the obstacles we have yet to overcome.

There is one area in particular in which modern feminists are failing our sisters and our feminist foremothers: abortion. Early feminists opposed abortion as an exploitation of women—and modern feminists should, too.

In a stunning display of historic revisionism, NARAL Pro-Choice American President Ilyse Hogue recently claimed in a Cosmopolitan article that those who oppose abortion are not really anti-abortion but that “they are against a world where women can contribute equally and chart our own destiny in ways our grandmothers never thought possible.”

In other words, Hogue, a self-proclaimed feminist, believes that those who oppose abortion oppose women; and therefore those who are anti-abortion are anti-women.

But I wonder if Hogue — and other pro-abortion advocates who have said similar things — realize that they are calling the founding mothers of the feminist movement anti-woman. The claim that in order to be pro-woman you must also be pro-abortion runs contrary to what our feminist foremothers actually believed and wrote.
