We All Have a Part to Play
Motivational speaker, and Catholic writer, Matthew Kelly, always tells his audience “Do not say am I too old; do not say I am too young.” He then goes into a list of extremely successful people whose fruitfulness began at both very young and old ages alike. His message is, simply: you are capable of doing things you think you cannot do!
Here is a great example: “G” knows that he is not too young to do his part to build a culture of life. G is a 9-year-old elementary school student who runs a pro-life blog, and sells his duct tape wallets that convey pro-life messages. All proceeds from sales are donated to Divine Mercy Care, a pro-life health clinic. This year at the March for Life, G sold a number of wallets and was able to donate all the proceeds to Divine Mercy Care!
Some people are called to be pro-life lawyers, some are called to open and run Pregnancy Resource Centers, and others are called to pray for the end to abortion. One is not more important than another, but they all have great significance!
At the March for Life rally, president Jeanne Monahan challenged the crowd: “If we all do our part – if we give until it hurts, be it praying in front of a clinic, starting a pro-life club, donating to a good pro-life group, volunteering at a center, whatever each of us is called to I believe that we will see an end to the human rights abuse of abortion.”
G is playing his part to build a culture of life. Are you doing all that you can to bring a speedy end to abortion?
