March for Life, Partnered with Pro Life Colorado Announces Speakers for the 2024 Colorado March for Life

March for Life, Partnered with Pro Life Colorado Announces Speakers for the 2024 Colorado March for Life

Pro-life Advocates and Legislators to Address Marchers in Denver on April 12, 2024

DENVER, CO – Today the March for Life Education and Defense Fund, partnered with Pro-Life Colorado announced speakers for the Colorado March for Life, occurring on Friday, April 12th. Marchers will gather at the Denver Capitol Building to peacefully advocate for pro-life protections for both women and babies in state laws. They will be addressed by notable speakers, including: Alexandra DeSanctis, Co-Author of “Tearing Us Apart: How Abortion Harms Everything and Solves Nothing”, Fellow in the Life & Family Initiative at the Ethics and Public Policy Center; Dr. Christina Francis, President of American Association of Pro-Life OB/GYNs (AAPLOG);  Rep. Brandi Bradley, Colorado House of Representatives – District 39; Jeanne Mancini, President, March for Life Education and Defense Fund; and more!

“At this year’s Colorado March for Life, we will send a clear message: the pro-life movement is here to walk With Every Woman, For Every Child. Tragically, abortion is legal through all three trimesters in Colorado. We need every pro-life Coloradan to stand up for the unborn and advocate for life-affirming policies that support both mom and baby, born and unborn. We will march boldly in Colorado to shine a light on the vital resources community-based Pregnancy Resource Centers provide to women and families in need; and use our collective voice to push back against the looming threats facing both mom and baby in Colorado this November. We are honored to partner with Pro-Life Colorado to host the Colorado March for Life and invite you to join us in Denver at the Colorado State Capitol!” said Jeanne F. Mancini, President of March for Life Education and Defense

“Just as national March for Life began on the anniversary of Roe, Coloradans now march to our state Capitol on the anniversary of the Reproductive Health Equity Act (RHEA) to show our elective officials Coloradans support preborn children and their mothers – not the horrors of abortion. We march to promote a culture of life in Colorado! While we celebrate the 2022 Dobbs decision, in the last two years Colorado enacted four abortion laws that go far beyond Roe (1973) and Casey (1992). On April 14, 2022, CO Gov. Polis signed into law Colorado’s Reproductive Health Equity Act (RHEA), which codified elective abortion for the full 40 weeks of pregnancy, established a ‘fundamental right’ to abortion, and removed “individual and derivative rights” from preborn children at all stages of development. An additional three abortion bills were enacted in 2023 to include censoring pregnancy resource centers, banning abortion pill reversal (the first state to do so), prohibiting lawsuits from pro-life states against Colorado or abortion providers, requiring large employers and insurance companies to provide coverage for abortion, and violating the First Amendment rights of individuals and businesses that do not support abortion. The only provision keeping Colorado from being the number one destination for unrestricted abortion in the United States is the 1984 Colorado constitutional prohibition against the use of public funding for abortion. This is what the 2024 #89 ‘Right to Abortion’ initiative is about: codifying a ‘right to abortion’ in the Constitution and removing the prohibition against taxpayer dollars subsidizing abortion. Coloradans must say ‘no to abortion’ on April 12 and at the ballot – and spread the truth about life!” said Brittany Vessely, board member of Pro-Life Colorado.

The Colorado March for Life on Friday, April 12, 2024, will start with a rally at the State Capitol building at 11:00 am MST followed by the march at 12:00 pm MST.
