Stephanie Gray to Keynote March for Life Conference in Washington, D.C. on January 18th, 2018

MEDIA ADVISORY

Gray will share her story of sacrifice and life-affirming love that went viral earlier this year after her presentation at Google

WASHINGTON, D.C. – March for Life is excited to announce that Stephanie Gray, pro-life activist and co-founder of the Canadian Centre for Bio-Ethical Reform, will be the keynote speaker at the March for Life Conference, held the day before the March for Life, on Thursday January 18th, 2018 in Washington D.C. Best known for her viral “Talks at Google” presentation on abortion that outperformed Planned Parenthood President Cecile Richards’s talk within its first 24 hours, Stephanie Gray will be the perfect fit for the March for Life Conference – which is designed to provide marchers with in-depth education, information and training tools to take back to their communities and make a difference for life.

“Stephanie Gray is an incredibly gifted thinker and presenter; she is eloquent, engaging, persuasive, and gracious on the most sensitive of topics. Her recent talk at Google Headquarters ‘Abortion: From Controversy to Civility’ clearly resonated with people, going viral quickly as it amassed over 110,000 views. By comparison a Google Talk speech by Cecile Richards, president of Planned Parenthood, one month prior received just over 1,000 views,” noted Jeanne Mancini, President of the March for Life. “Stephanie will inspire march for life conference attendees with the message that choosing life is not always easy, but it is the loving, empowering, and self-sacrificial option.”

Pam Tebow to Keynote March for Life’s 36th Annual Rose Dinner

MEDIA ADVISORY

Tebow will share her powerful story of choosing life for her son Tim after doctors advised abortion

WASHINGTON, D.C. – March for Life is thrilled to announce that Pam Tebow, mother of Heisman Trophy winner and football/baseball star Tim Tebow, will keynote the 36th annual Rose Dinner following the 45th Annual March for Life on January 19th, 2018.

“We are delighted that Pam Tebow, an influential force in the pro-life community, will be speaking at our 36th annual Rose Dinner this year. Pam is a powerful example of how love saves lives and how one woman’s pro-life message can change the hearts and minds of the masses,” said Jeanne Mancini, President of the March for Life.

Pam Tebow speaks nationwide about why she chose life, following an ESPN interview where she revealed she had been advised to abort Tim Tebow. In 2010, Pam and Tim were in a Super Bowl commercial that celebrated family and life, which, according to a Barna survey, resulted in 5.5 million people “having cause to rethink their stand on abortion.”

What: 36th Annual March for Life Rose Dinner
When: January 19th, 2018 at 6:00PM ET
Where: Renaissance Washington DC Downtown Hotel Grand Ballroom
              999 Ninth Street NW, Washington, D.C. 20001

March for Life Statement on Motion to Repeal & BCRA

The March for Life supports the motion to proceed on the 2015 repeal bill, which would repeal the Affordable Care Act, popularly known as Obamacare. The language from the 2015 repeal bill would prohibit tax dollars from going to abortion providers, and it would end the Obamacare tax scheme that allows taxpayer funds to pay directly for insurance plans that cover abortions. Should the motion fail, and the Senate then proceeds to the Better Care Act, the March for Life’s statement is as follows:

“March for Life Action applauds the work of the Administration, the U.S. House of Representatives and the U.S. Senate in their efforts to ensure pro-life protections are included in the Better Care Reconciliation Act of 2017. We praise the major pro-life victories within the bill, including the creation of the Stability Fund with pro-life protections and very significantly, redirecting taxpayer funding away from organizations that provide abortions to federally qualified health centers.

Yet, we have concerns. It is unfortunate that pro-life protections on the refundable tax credit portion of the bill will not survive the procedural requirements of the reconciliation process, thus resulting in the continuation of one of the most harmful abortion-related aspects of Obamacare. We urge the Congress and the Administration to do all they can to include these pro-life protections in future legislation.

We are grateful to the Congress and the Administration for the pro-life advances that are included in this bill. Our message will remain the same – abortion is not health care. We have worked from that principle in this healthcare debate and are committed to doing so in the future.”

March for Life Statement on Charlie Gard

“In wake of today’s announcement, our hearts go out to Connie Yates and Chris Gard, the courageous parents of little Charlie Gard. Connie and Chris were forced to make the agonizing decision to end the legal battle for Charlie’s life, after this court-instigated eight-month process prevented him from receiving the life-affirming treatment he rightly deserved. It is our hope that Charlie’s family know that the global outpouring of love and support exhibited during his fight remains as steadfast ever as they say goodbye to their son. We continue to stand with Charlie, and with those just like him around the world, in hopes that no parent ever be denied the right to choose the gift of life for their child again.”

– Jeanne Mancini, March for Life President
