Pro-Life Businesswoman Exemplifies Theme of This Year’s March |
|
Washington, D.C. — The March for Life 2016 is fast approaching, and the theme of this year’s march will be “Pro-Life and Pro-Woman Go Hand-In-Hand.” To highlight this theme, the March For Life Education & Defense Fund is pleased to announce that businesswoman and pro-life advocate Carly Fiorina will speak at this year’s March for Life Rally on Capitol Hill, which will be held on January 22, 2016 at 12:00 PM ET.
When Carly Fiorina was hired as Hewlett-Packard’s CEO, she was the first woman to take control of a Fortune 100 company. Since then, she has spearheaded the Unlocking Potential PAC, which advanced the pro-life movement through messaging for women and the American Conservative Union, whose mission includes protecting all lives, especially the unborn. Carly Fiorina has a national platform and has advocated for pro-life movement, including participating in March for Life Events such as the “Welcoming Every Life” speech and panel discussion last year. “Carly Fiorina will be among many inspiring women who can share their testimony as female advocates of pro-life issues,” said Jeanne Mancini, President of the March for Life Education & Defense Fund. “Her national profile and work in the pro-life movement embody this year’s theme. Other pro-life female speakers include Sue Ellen Browder, author of Subverted and Dr. Margarite Duane, MD, alongside Sen. Joni Ernst and Marjorie Dannenfelser who will introduce a video created to inspire young pro-life women to consider running for elected office. “ The March for Life in Washington, D.C., began as a small demonstration on January 22, 1974, the first anniversary of the now-infamous Supreme Court decisions in Roe v. Wade and Doe v. Bolton and rapidly grew to be the largest pro-life event in the world. The peaceful demonstration that has followed on this somber anniversary every year since is a witness to the truth concerning the greatest human rights violation of our time, abortion. |
