March for Life on the Moral Exemptions and Accommodations in the Affordable Care Act

“March for Life applauds the Trump Administration’s final rule released this afternoon ‘Moral Exemptions and Accommodations for Coverage of Certain Preventive Services Under the Affordable Care Act’. Pro-life organizations should not be forced into betraying the very values they were established to advance and this rule will allow such freedom. March for Life bases its pro-life beliefs on ethics and science; the government has no right to demand that organizations provide health insurance plan options that explicitly contradict their mission; it is un-American. We are very grateful to the Trump Administration for its work to protect such conscience rights.”

March for Life Statement on 2018 Mid-Term Elections Results

“Protecting vulnerable, unborn citizens should be a bipartisan goal but sadly Democrats today are held hostage to an extremist pro-abortion lobby. Since they now have control of the U.S. House of Representatives, we can expect pro-abortion Committee Leadership as well as legislative initiatives that advance a pro-abortion agenda. All pro-life gains made by this Administration will come under fire, and we will no doubt see efforts to expand taxpayer funding for abortion as well as the erosion of conscience rights. While the results of these midterm elections represent a significant setback, some measures can still be taken to minimize the damage and at the same time advance the pro-life cause. The President should issue an immediate veto threat any time standing pro-life policies, for example, the Hyde amendment, are stripped from legislation and continue to fill out appointments in the various Departments with people who will work toward a pro-life agenda. The Senate, too, can accelerate the rate at which Judicial and Executive branch nominations are confirmed.” – March for Life President, Jeanne Mancini

March for Life Unveils its 2019 Theme

March for Life Unveils its 2019 Theme:

Unique from Day One: Pro-Life is Pro-Science

“Science is behind the Pro-Life Movement.”

-Jeanne Mancini, President of March for Life-

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, March for Life Education and Defense Fund announced their 2019 theme – “Unique from Day One: Pro-Life is Pro-Science.” Jeanne Mancini, President of March for Life, joined by Dr. David Prentice, VP and Research Director at Charlotte Lozier Institute, David Daleiden, Founder and Project Lead with Center for Medical Progress, and Dr. Grazie Christie, Radiologist and Policy Advisor for The Catholic Association, discussed how the theme of the 46th annual March for Life embodies the current state of the pro-life movement.

“Science is behind the pro-life movement. We see that medical and technological advancements always affirm the pro-life movement, for example, DNA is present at fertilization and no fingerprint on earth, past, present, or future, is the same. We know, too, a baby’s heart beats at just six weeks and we can distinctly observe it ourselves with ultrasound technology,” said Jeanne Mancini. “As science progresses, we see clearly that every life is unique from day one in the womb.”

“Life in its most vulnerable form, should be protected,” continued Mancini.  “To this end, we hope that Patients First Act, HR 2918, and similar legislation preserving the dignity of the human person from its earliest moments, will soon become law.”

March for Life is excited to announce that Ben Shapiro, Editor-in-Chief of The Daily Wire and host of “The Ben Shapiro Show”, as well as Abby Johnson, Founder of And Then There Were None, will be speaking at the 2019 March for Life. Sidewalk Prophets will provide the musical opening for the 2019 March for Life. They have a career spanning three major label studio releases, and are a Dove Award-winning band that has sold nearly 700,000 albums and 1.6 million digital downloads.

The 46th annual March for Life, the world’s largest annual human rights demonstration, will be held on January 18, 2019.  With exactly 3 months until then, we will be sharing more and more about the theme and the incredible science that supports the pro-life cause.

March for Life Statement on Kavanaugh Confirmation Vote

“Today the United States Supreme Court has gained an exceptional Justice in Brett Kavanaugh. March for Life is grateful to Justice Kavanaugh and his family for persevering through this most difficult confirmation process. We are also grateful to President Trump for delivering on his campaign promise to nominate a fair and independent judge who faithfully adheres to the Constitution. The Supreme Court plays a critical role in pro-life policy and has for decades. We look forward to Justice Kavanaugh’s tenure on the bench and the impact his dedicated public service will have towards creating a country where every human life is valued and protected equally under the law.”

March For Life Statement On FDA Termination Of Contract With ABR

“March for Life thanks Secretary Azar and HHS for terminating this horrific $15,000 contract to provide ‘fresh’ fetal tissue. However, this is just a first step.  Three years after being exposed by grisly undercover videos from Center for Medical Progress, the aborted baby parts industry is still receiving substantial financial support from NIH Director Francis Collins as well as taxpayers. Close to $100 million is currently being directed by HHS and NIH towards procurement of baby body parts for experimentation in mice. These funds should instead be redirected to successful alternatives that do not devalue human life.”
