March for Life Announces Speakers for the 47th Annual March for Life
Washington, D. C. – Today, the March for Life Education and Defense Fund announced the first wave of speakers for the 47th annual March for Life on January 24th, 2020. State Representative Katrina Jackson (D-LA), Representative Ann Wagner (R-MO), Representative Chris Smith (R-NJ), along with Melissa Ohden and Claire Culwell, both abortion survivors, will speak at the 2020 Rally. Democratic State Representative Katrina Jackson introduced Louisiana’s law which would require abortion doctors to have admitting privileges at a hospital within a 30 mile radius of their clinic. This law is currently at the Supreme Court. Representatives Wagner and Smith sponsored the Born-Alive Survivors Protection Act which provides protection under the law for babies who survive failed abortions, like Melissa Ohden and Claire Culwell. The theme for this year’s March for Life is Life Empowers: Pro-Life is Pro-Woman.
“We are delighted to welcome to the world’s largest annual human rights demonstration this inspiring group of speakers who are all working ardently to promote the inherent dignity of the human person,” said Jeanne Mancini, president of March for Life. “Protecting babies who are born alive after a failed abortion or requiring abortion doctors to hold admitting privileges at a local hospital are common sense, bi-partisan policies with the full support of the majority of Americans,” she continued.
