U.S. Abortion Jurisprudence: From Roe to Hobby Lobby

This seminar will provide law students, legal advocates, Capitol Hill and policy staff an overview of abortion and life-related cases decided by the Supreme Court since 1973. Drawing on his legal background and public policy experience, Carter Snead, Professor of Law at the University of Notre Dame, will delve into the successes and setbacks for the pro-life movement.
Beginning with Roe v. Wade and Doe v. Bolton, Professor Snead will analyze pro-life cases up to the recent 2014 McCullen v. Coakley buffer zone case and Burwell v. Hobby Lobby abortifacient mandate case.
